Accommodations

What are the check-in and check-out times?
Normally, check-in is from 3:00pm, while check-out is until 11:00am.
Can I check in early?

Checking in early is only available for those who have made a reservation to do so in advance.
Check-in between 1:00pm and 3:00pm will cost an additional fee of 1,000 yen.
Check-in between 11:00am and 1:00pm will cost an additional 3,000 yen.
Check-in before 11:00am will cost a separate fee equal to one night's stay.
Club Candeo members can check in an hour early from 2:00pm free of charge.

Can I check out later?

Depending on how occupied the rooms are, we may not allow later check-outs.
It will cost an additional 1,000 yen to push back your check-out time to 1:00pm.
It will cost an additional 3,000 yen to push back your check-out time to 3:00pm.
Check-out after 3:00pm will cost an additional fee equal to the same as one night's stay.
* Club Candeo members can check out up to an hour later at 12:00pm free of charge.

Guest Rooms

What's the view from my room like?
The rooms offer a peaceful countryside view without having any tall buildings nearby.
Do you provide internet?
Free high-speed wireless LAN (Wi-Fi) is available in all guest rooms. The rooms are not equipped with a computer, so please bring your own PC. If you do not have one, we have a Win.XP installed PC prepared on the 1st floor Candeo Plaza and a printer is available also.
Are there any computers that are available to borrow?
We do not offer computer rentals to use inside guest rooms. However, there is one computer with internet located in the lobby's lounge area that is free for guests to use.
What amenities are available at the hotel?​ ​

Do guest rooms include a refrigerator?
All rooms have empty refrigerators, so you can use them to store alcohol, juice, etc.
How can I store my valuables safely?
We do not offer safes in our guest rooms, so we ask our guests to either refrain from bringing valuables or manage such items themselves.
Do you have Japanese style rooms?
All of our guest rooms are Western style.
Do you have non-smoking rooms?
We have non-smoking rooms. Please tell us if you would like a non-smoking room when booking. Note that non-smoking rooms may not be available depending on vacancy levels.
Do you have a smoking area?
At the EV on the 1st floor will be the only smoking area at our hotel.
How big are the rooms?
A standard room size is approximately 14-15㎡.
Are your facilities barrier free (handicap accessible)?
Our hotel is accessible via wheelchair, but we do not offer guest rooms that are completely barrier free, so assistance will be required. There is a powder room accessible via wheelchair in the public space. If you require any assistance, please do not hesitate to let our staff know.
Can you tell me more about the beds and bedding options in each room?
Our hotel only uses Simmons mattresses that use pocket coil technology to provide the ultimate comfort while you sleep. Our rooms usually feature one bed that is 140cm in width, or two beds that are 110cm each in width. We also provide a duvet and feather pillows. If you require extra blankets, a memory foam pillow or pipe-style pillow, please inquire at the hotel.

Hotel Facilities

Do you have a smoking area?
Public spaces in the hotel building, including the plaza, are all non-smoking areas. There are smoking areas in several places, such as the terrace in front of the 1st floor plaza, so please use these designated areas to smoke.
Can I use the hotel to meet up with people not staying at the hotel?
Please use the plaza on the 1st floor to meet with people who are not guests of the hotel. We only allow guests who are staying at Candeo Hotels inside our guest rooms. You may bring drinks into the plaza area, and we have vending machines in the plaza that sell items at retail prices.
Do you have a meeting space?
The plaza on the first floor can be used to meet people. If you are a small group, feel free to gather here. We would appreciate it if you tell us in advance if you will be using the space, so if a large number of people will be gathering, please let the front desk know ahead of time. This way, we can better save a space for you.
Where are good places to eat?
There are no restaurants at the hotel. Please ask at the front desk for information on nearby restaurants.
Do you have meeting rooms?
We do not offer a conference or meeting room. However, it is possible to use the plaza area as a meeting space.
Do you have a business center?
Please use the computer in the PC area with free internet.

Can I send or receive faxes?
You can receive faxes for free, and sending a fax will cost 30 yen per page sent. In order to receive a fax at our hotel, we will need you to tell us your room number and the name the room is reserved under.
Do you have an ice machine?
There is an ice machine on the 11th floor, so please feel free to use it.
Do you have laundry services?
We do provide a laundry service.
If you bring your laundry to the front desk by 9:00am, it will be ready after 7:00pm on the same day.
Do you have a drink or cigarette vending machine?
Vending machines are located on the 1st and 11th floor. Cigarettes are sold only at the counter on the 1st floor.
Is there a cafe or lounge?
The hotel does not have a cafe or lounge. However, please feel free to bring food and drink to eat in the lobby.
Are your toilets Western style or traditional Japanese style?
All toilets are Western style and include bidets.

SkySpa

Is there a public bath?
The public bath is located on the 11th floor, open to a view for a refreshing morning sky and a sensational starry night. A sauna is also equipped in the men's spa.
What are the spa hours?
Public bath is open for 24 hours for both men and women. Cleaning services are between 12:00pm to 2:00pm.
The sauna will be open from 3:00pm to 2:00am.
Are there amenities at the public bath?

Using SkySpa before checking in and after checking out are prohibited.

Our hotel is very convenient for drivers since it faces the National Route No.1.
Does the hotel have handicapped parking spaces?
We do not have handicapped parking spaces, but we will do our best to secure you a spot if you let us know in advance.
How long does it take (with my own car) to the hotel?

How long does it take (using my own car) from the nearest interchange to the hotel?
Get off at Kameyama Interchange and drive along Route 1 towards Shiga (Otsu).
How do I get to the hotel using public transportation?
A 15-20 minute ride after getting off at Kameyama and take Mie Kotsu to Sharp * 1 train per hour.
How do I get to the hotel from the airport?

Is there anything to be aware of if I visit during the winter?
There are occasional snowfalls, we will inform the current situation if you contact us.
Can I get help reserving a taxi?
Booking is available at the front desk. It will usually take about 10 minutes to arrive.

Traveling with Children

Can I stay at the hotel with my children?
Of course. We hope your entire family has an enjoyable stay at our hotel.
Can I share a bed with my child?
For the Moderate room and massage chair, up to one child at the age before beginning elementary school and up to two children for the Queen and Twin room can be accommodated. (The cost for the breakfast buffet will be charged separately.)
* Please check your child's physique with the bed's width of your reserved room before completing a reservation.
Can you tell me more about the rates for children?
Children up to elementary school age are free if they do not require their own beds.
Breakfast Prices - Elementary school children: 1,000 yen/person (excluding tax), children 3 years of age until before elementary school age : 800 yen/person (excluding tax), children under 3 years of age: Free. Children in junior high school and above are charged the same as an adult.
Do you provide pajamas for children?
We don't offer pajamas or amenities for children. Please bring any necessary items.
Does the hotel provide hot water to warm up milk?
Please use the kettle in your room. If you have any other requests, we will do our best to assist you. Please feel free to contact the front desk.

Nearby Facilities

When is the best time to see the autumn leaves?
From late October to mid-November, the Yunoyama hot springs and the surrounding mountains are very scenic. Take the chance to go see the view.
When is the best time to see cherry blossoms?
From late March to mid-April you can see from our hotel a line of cherry blossom trees along the river path.
Where is the best place to see fireflies?
From May to early July come and enjoy a magical night at the Hotaru no Sato (The Village of Fireflies) hosted by Suzuka Tourism Association.
What convenient facilities are near the hotel?

There is a Sunkus on the opposite side of the hotel.

How can I pay for my stay when I need to depart early in the morning?
The front desk is open 24 hours a day, so there is always staff available.
How can I pay for my stay?
You will be required to pay for your stay when checking in.
Is there a cancellation fee?

Cancellation after 6:00pm on the day of accommodation is 50% of the booking cost
Cancellation after 10:00pm on the day of accommodation is 100% of the booking cost
Not providing warning about your cancellation (not contacting us) is 100% of the booking cost

Cancellations made 2 days before your stay will have a fee of 20% of the booking cost
Cancellation on the day before your stay will cost a fee of 100% of the booking cost
Not providing warning about your cancellation (not contacting us) will also entail a fee of 100% of the booking cost
Can I pay via credit card?
We accept major credit cards, including VISA and JCB.
Can the front desk watch my luggage before I check in or after I check out?
Depending on the size of the luggage, we should be able to look after luggage for you. However, please note that we cannot protect valuables or raw goods.
Can I send my luggage to the hotel in advance?
Please contact us in advance and we will look after your luggage before you check in. Please note that this excludes valuables, food items and dangerous goods. Please be sure to provide your name as stated in your booking and send it to the following address.

Yes, you can do so freely.
Does the hotel have a newspaper service?
We have several newspapers available at the Plaza (lobby), including Nikkei and other regional newspapers.
Can pets stay in guest rooms?
Unfortunately, we do not allow pets in our hotel. We are also unable to look after any pets. If you require an assistance dog such as a seeing-eye dog, please provide this information when making your booking.
Do you offer bike rentals?
We offer two rental bicycles for free. Discover new things in the area while pedaling and feeling the breeze. Please ask for more details at our front desk.
